On May 21, 2024, Express Courier d.o.o., ASC for UPS in BiH, represented by Executive Director Nihad Gračić and Road Transport Manager Adnan Bavčić, participated in the event titled "Bosnia and Herzegovina and Libya Partnership Day." Organized by the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, the event brought together over 60 companies from both countries, aiming to strengthen cooperation and facilitate the return of Bosnian firms to the Libyan market.

Zdravko Marinković, Vice President of the Foreign Trade Chamber, highlighted the longstanding positive experience of Bosnian companies in Libya, which had been engaged in various industries such as construction, food production, oil, pharmaceuticals, and electrical sectors. Marinković noted that while over 30 Bosnian companies were active in Libya in the past, currently, only about ten remain. Over the last three years, BiH exports to Libya amounted to €11.2 million, with no imports from Libya during this period. For Express Courier, this represents a vital opportunity to reestablish and expand its business connections with Libyan partners.

Additionally, Marinković emphasized key sectors for future cooperation, including energy, metallurgy, furniture manufacturing, food production, and IT. For Express Courier, this is a significant chance to broaden its logistics and courier services in the region.

Issam Al-Awl, head of the Libyan delegation, reaffirmed the strong ties between BiH and Libya and called for their enhancement. He stressed the importance of activating partnerships and investments, underscoring the need for agreements and memoranda that would offer clear advantages for Bosnian companies, including Express Courier, in investing in Libya.

The event concluded with plans to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH and the Libyan State Fair Committee. This memorandum aims to enhance cooperation in organizing trade fairs and conferences, marking a crucial step in strengthening bilateral relations and business opportunities between the two countries.
